About us

Real Colombia Tours was born from friendship, shared stories, and a deep love for our country. What began as colleagues guiding travelers along Colombia’s mountains, cities, and hidden trails quickly became something more — a shared vision of showing the real essence of Colombia beyond the postcards

We are guides by profession, but storytellers at heart. Each of us brings unique experiences, local knowledge, and personal passion to every journey. Even when we are guiding in different regions, we stay connected as a team, united by the same commitment: to offer authentic, well-crafted experiences that feel personal, meaningful, and unforgettable.

For us, Colombia is not just a destination — it is home. It is the early morning light over the Andes, the sound of waterfalls in the cloud forest, the vibrant streets filled with history, and the warm smiles that welcome you wherever you go.

Through every hike, city walk, cultural encounter, or hidden natural escape, our purpose is to help travelers connect — not only with the places they visit, but with the people, stories, and spirit that make Colombia extraordinary.

Why “Real” Colombia?

Because we believe the true magic of this country lies beyond the typical tourist routes. “Real” means authentic encounters, honest storytelling, responsible travel, and genuine human connection. It means experiencing Colombia as it truly is — vibrant, diverse, resilient, welcoming, and full of life. And that is the Colombia we are proud to share with you.

About me

Hi, I’m Iván Rocha, born in Cajicá, just outside Bogotá, Colombia. I am a certified tour guide with a deep passion for sharing the natural beauty, history, and cultural richness of my country.

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of guiding travelers through vibrant cities like Bogotá and Santa Marta, as well as the charming towns of the Sabana Centro region, including Zipaquirá and Guatavita. In northern Colombia, I’ve led immersive nature-based experiences in the majestic Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, guiding visitors through the lush landscapes of Minca and along the tropical surroundings of Palomino, in the department of La Guajira. These experiences have allowed me to connect travelers with Colombia’s extraordinary biodiversity, local communities, and breathtaking natural environments.

For me, guiding is more than a profession — it’s an opportunity to create meaningful connections between people and places, and to help each traveler experience the real spirit of Colombia.
